Theophile J. Gerard, 80, of Rollinsford NH, died Sept. 9, 2004, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth NH after a brief illness. Theophile was born on Sept. 24, 1913, in Biddeford ME, the son of Romeo and Rena (Bedard) Gerard. He was raised in Biddeford and attended schools there.

During WWII he had served with the United States Army as a member of the 215th Hospital Ship Compliment where he served as an x-ray technician. Prior to his retirement, Theophile had been employed as a millwright with over 33 years of service. He was a current member of the American Legion Post 47 of Rollinsford.

members include his wife of 54 years, Irene (Morin) Gerard of Rollinsford; sons Leo Gerard of Milton NH, and Gary Gerard and wife Norma both of Wells ME; sister Theresa Poitras of Manchester NH; grandchildren Lyndsey Gerard, Nathan Gerard, and Jodi Gerard, all of Milton NH, and Benjamin Gerard of Wells ME; his very dear and close niece Louise Tuohy and her husband Richard; and several cousins.
